so! today at this ancient ruin village, halfway between cagliari and sassari, my cousin and i were in a commercial! the stars as a matter of fact! :D

also, i went to cagliari, and it was pretty and big and right on the ocean. pictures soonish.

all the shops here close from about 1-3,4,5, for lunch
so here i am again
im going to camp on the 23rd, and cagliari soonish!
i think i might go see a movie by myself today, or try and fish my ipod out from behind the bunk beds. i really want to see the new hp today but they say it's too busy, which i don't think it is ever too busy for harry potter..

sassari day 3?

ciao all.
another day of heat and sleep in italia.
the phone has been ringing off the bloody hook today and i continue to feel more and more like a baby.. i know i know italian, it's in my head, but when i speak it i get shot down like a bloody deer. it's weird but sometimes the people we love are the people we fear the most?

anyhow i watched troy today (figo alarma!) and yesterday i visited a camp where isa's friends were. i met some of the most interesting ragazzi i have met so far and the only english they knew included generic curse words, "your mother", and one boy kept saying to me "the yellow submarine! we go on the yellow submarine!"

however there was one victory in finding the hot spot coffee shop per italiano teens, and tomorrow i am heading there around 4 to read my book and drink some tea and scope.

i think in a few minutes i am going to go do something. though all the stores are closing and i am a dog in this country, i will get ahold of the leash and perhaps take myself for a run..

i love you family

so my apartment here is really nice, much more spacious than i imagined and the people are so wonderful. i am struggling more than i thought with my italian, but i also have to remind myself it is only.. what, the fourth day? i understand most things and can reply in general areas, but i think i've expected a little too much of my abilities. though it's hard to back off that when you can't understand anything in sentences except for your name..

anyhow, last night i had my first italian pizza
here they have chocolate pizza, which is basically just hot dough with nutella on it
and surprisingly it is very very good... i wish i had pictures of nik and mati from that, with nutella all over their faces.. reminded me of the twins :)

to sum things up i guess
i really really love it here, this town is nothing less than incredible. it reminds me of bend surprisingly, but smaller land-wise. my family's apartment is in the middle of the downtown of sassari, which is so perfect i can barely describe. i will get some photos of it up in a bit.
